Johnston Taggart - Plant Production Manager
As Plant Production Manager I’m responsible for the production/packing of Mozzarella cheese, string cheese as well as storage and despatch. I joined Glanbia Cheese in a Quality Assurance role, assisting with some of the first trial vats of Mozzarella made at Glanbia Cheese. I also worked in the Cheese Production/Packing, Services and Whey departments.
I’m part of the team that developed an idea to increase string cheese sales. We created a new garlic and herb flavoured string for pizza crusts. Naturally my role included tasting the finished product (a challenge my colleagues say I rise too!). For me, watching our product launch successfully on the market and seeing it advertised on national television sums up everything that’s good about working at Glanbia.
