Glanbia Cheese Raises Money to Help Beat Cancer

Relay for life is a fun way to do something very important; raise money to fight cancer. This was the fifth year taking part, and the LLangefni site team braved the elements to raise £2,486.77 running under the team name Grate Expectations. The event is sponsored by Glanbia Cheese, and all money raised funds research in the Gwynedd and Anglesey area. The theme was 'world cup with Grate Expectations representing team Malaysia

Prior to the run monies were raised by, donations, collection bucket in the Llangefni  canteen, book, clothes and DVD sales and a "Guess How Many Marshmallows In A Jar".

Taking part this year were, Heather Broughton (Team Captain), Nia Humphreys (Cancer Survivor), Margaret Williams, Iona Devlin, Paul Devlin, William Devlin, Vivian Owen, Jess Cooper, Nick Chapman, Luci Heeley, Sian Russell, Ella Parsons, Ffion Jones and Neil Humphreys, all of whom as pictured below taking part in the Haka before the event, as well as included in other highlights of the day.
